Miss Waiting

從《Little Miss Sunshine / 小太陽的願望》黃色麵包車衝出鏡頭那總讓我泛淚的一幕中，聽見了Chicago的前奏，因而認識了Sufjan Stevens和那張陽光般溫暖、充滿歷史和故事的《Illinois》。雖然在一遍又一遍反覆聆聽之際，他已成為了我最愛的男聲之一（心疼到想擁抱的聲音），卻沒有刻意去找其他的專輯來聽，一來是《Illinois》根本就聽不膩，二來是他真的有點太認真寫歌、寫了一大堆還風格迥異！而且最近才發現，他大概是最認真在過聖誕節的人了，因為2006年他曾出過一張共四十多首的聖誕特輯，今年發行的《Silver & Gold: Songs for Christmas》更有超過五十首之多，要過五個聖誕節根本綽綽有餘（笑）。怎麼會有這麼愛聖誕節的人啦！真可愛:D

而這首恰好被我聽到的Christmas Unicorn一聽就無法自拔，我敢說這是有史以來最可愛的聖誕歌！充滿童趣的歌詞配上簡單的旋律和Sufjan Stevens真誠的歌聲，暖暖的都快融化了。前兩分半不斷重複相同的曲調卻一點也不無聊，倒像是夜晚圍繞在壁爐炯炯的柴火旁，聽著輕聲呢喃的故事。接著逐步滲入的聲響是一盞盞被點亮的燈，增添了熱鬧氣氛，而層層推起的旋律更是歡欣鼓舞，一張張人們歡樂過節的笑容浮上心頭。

我喜歡它像孩子般傻呼呼的純真，所以以後一定要教小孩唱這首歌，雖然這首歌單字可能有點難。我們會互相大喊「I'm a Christmas Unicorn! You're a Christmas Unicorn too!」然後笑得東倒西歪，而當孩子對著我唱「It's all right. I love you.」的時候，我這個做媽的一定會熱淚盈眶，因為滿滿的是愛。好像扯遠了XD

總之，我太喜歡它了又不知如何是好，所以把多出來的喜歡拿來翻譯歌詞，很想忠於原著翻得可愛又不失趣味，但中文要像英文一樣好笑真的有點難，不然聽歌就好。
